High AAV, low term contracts are just so fetch right now.
Save us Nico Hoerner
Did he get the opt-outs, aka Bregman’s delight?
Roman is going to have to carry our line up
“We don’t have to worry about poor defense or lack of HRs if our pitching staff just strikes everyone out.” ~ FSG, probably

Credit for the Suárez signing and Gray/Contreras trades but until Breslow does something to rectify the Devers/Bregman screw up that’s left a giant void in the lineup it’s a failed offseason.
I’d like to think we’re not going into the season with the current lineup…
$42 million per year for him is absolutely wild. Apparently Cohen decided he wasn’t losing out on another player this year.
I guess Craig is realllyyyy banking on Marcelo and Trevor to be healthy for the full season and playoffs (hopefully).
Meh I wasn’t expecting to get him after getting Suarez, maybe we can trade for someone like Issac paredes
Am I crazy for thinking that’s a lot for him?
Honestly, there was no way the Red Sox were going to pay this guy so I think anyone that talked themselves into it were just setting themselves up to be disappointed. They do need another legit mlb caliber infielder so they definitely shouldn’t be done this off-season, but who knows.
After Ranger, I knew he wasn’t ours.
I would have done this but I get why they didn’t
Did anyone actually think the Sox would sign Bichette after botching the Bregman deal? Get ready for a steady helping of Romy Gonzalez and David Hamilton.
Hard to see how the Red Sox couldn’t match this, but we’d be back in the same boat we were with Bregman this offseason. I’d prefer to lock guys up for longer
Well fuck
Let’s go man, Blue jays imaginary offseason came crashing down. AL East is up for grabs.
real shit if a little bit more things go right than wrong for us, I love the outlook of our roster and the potential to add a few more still
If we hadn’t signed Suarez yet, this would be devastating news. But I feel so confident we’re going to see some trade for a bat, that I’m just happy he’s out of the AL east
National league problems, let em stack up over there
There must be a trade path between the Mets and the Red Sox that can benefit everyone. I doubt they go for Bellinger now and they are crying for outfield help.
Didn’t want him and hurts the Jays. Relieved it wasn’t us.
huge W for us. Toronto misses out on Tucker and Bo. if we trade for a bat then competing for the divison is not so far-fetched

Save us Eugenio!
Now get Vientos.
Mets have so many infielders right now, may be a good trade target
Another guy the Yankees didn’t sign. Love to see it
Yeah, I can’t pay Bo Bichette $40M a year. Thanks.
FULL THROTTLE!!!!
