  1. SERIOUSLY??!! Now you finally don't defend Matthews? I'''ll say it AGAIN, so you can hear it: MATTHEWS DOES NOT BELONG ON THE ICE IN O.T.!!!!!!! For 10 effing years he is lost sooooo many O.T.'s by his HORRIBLE performance. I don't get mad about much, but watching umpteen coaches put him out there for O.T. every friggin' time, just to do the same 2 thing, every figgin' time. Mostly he stays on too long, or thinks he's Willie and can skate through three guys, then loses the puck. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR YEARS!!!! Yet every overtime, they just throw him back out there. It's a total effing joke. Even when he obviously stays on too long, and makes a shift change, he get's put back on 30 seconds later. It's beyond ridiculous how often he is the reason they lose in overtime. You hardcore fans should know this, I would LOVE to find a 3 on 3 overtime plus/minus stat to prove how horrible he is in O.T. throughout his career. Yeah, he's won a few in O.T., but more times that not, he is the root cause for losing O.T….. Someday, someone in charge will eventually realize this.

  3. Honestly I think we should ice / chip the puck and give it to the enemy team some more. What even is passing really? Also I think they should all stand on one side of the ice to make passing even more impossible – it seems to be working rly well. Oh is there 3 min left? We should ice the puck 16 times to have 10000 draws in our zone. It is a great game plan. Who is coaching them to do this? Fire them please. Here's a fkn idea SKATE THE PUCK OUT.

Gotta love Vegas getting multiple pp opportunities, the leafs only getting one pp opportunity, and watching even the broadcast say Adin Hill bodying McMann behind the net nowhere near the puck was interference. And it didnt get called. NHL is a joke league. Or as Steve has said, its not even a league.

  10. Can you check your stats because I seem to recall a game against Carolina that they were up multiple goals and blew it in the last minute of the third and then lost in overtime just a couple of years ago

  18. Matthews is not Captain material. Tavares is the real Captain of this team and what the Franchise did to him makes me want them to lose forever.

  22. Just looked up some stats. Nylander, who lead the league in P/GP up untill the Leafs fell off a cliff in December, still leads all Leafs BY FAR in that category. Makes me happy. I love Willy and I couldn't care less if he's a bit of a floater here and then, when everybody else quits to engage. He dominates this franchise by now and without him they'd be equally worse off as without "Selke-Mitch".

  35. What's amazing is Vegas fans (and the Vegas media) are really hands off the players, which I think goes back to the first year. Marner gets more pressure from Leafs fans today than what he does in Vegas. Is there a lesson there? Sure. Will it get learned? No way.

  37. I’m 51. Born and Raised in Toronto. Our undeserving cockiness as Leafs/Blue Jays fans has backfired huge in a span of less than 12 hours. Marner, of course gets the best of the Leafs, Tucker, of course goes to the Dodgers and Bo, of course decides to sign with the Mets. This city, once known as, arguably the greatest city in the world has turned into a place no one wants to be a part of. Good effin grief!!!

  38. I think the most offensive part of his complete lack of effort? The fact he wears the C and not Tavares. As the captain YOU CANNOT LOOK THE WAY HE DID.

    I mean odds are he simply doesnt get back anyways right? Eichel was fresh, is underratedly quick, and had a lead on him. But in the same way you expect any player in baseball to run out every ground ball, the CAPTAIN of all players needs to atleast look like hes trying to hustle.

    He skates about as fast as i do while just doing casual laps during my local rinks pub skates
