  1. I looked at the Sox International signing back 20 years or so on Sox Prospects and man do a lot of these kids that flame out. Such as the 2 top bonus guys from 2024 are no longer in the organization. However when they hit boy do they hit. Bogie, Devers, Bello Letโ€™s hope we get one or 2 MLB players this year.

  2. This international draft is where the Red Sox hopefully will find some "diamonds in the rough" … Building the ball club through the amateur drafts and developing promising young talent in their minor league system makes all the sense in the world … Why overpay dishing out hundreds of millions for players on the back side of their prime when you possibly may only need to spend tens of millions on a few mid twenty year olds who have a lot more upside ??? ,,,

  3. Hopefully these guys will pan out way too early to tell. Now that Bo has gone to the Mets I wonder if Vientos would become available? Peredes still seems like the more likely to be brought in but who knows ๐Ÿคžโšพ

  4. Corbin it's off topic but if the red Sox really have interest in trading daran for the right deal wouldn't that extend him long term it's hard to expect much when he can go to free agency after the season.i really don't see anyone trading for him

  5. This is off topic, but I hear the Mets have extra infielders and need pitching now that they got Bo. Do they have an infielder that's a good fit?

  6. Thank you Corbin was very insightful we shall see how they all pan out in a few years. Quick question, the Sox are in the 2nd Apron right now in payroll, if for some reason they go into the 3rd Apron is that when they start losing International $$ if so how much and when does that impact them? This year or next?

  7. A couple things to note: This years international class was particularly weak on pitchers (only 3 in the top 100 internationals) so everyone went shorter on pitchers. Second, the international signing money only counts for signings who are over $10,000 so there's always only a few big money deals and then a ton of $5,000-$10,000 deals. Lastly, Brito was definitely the top signing (as far as what he's done so far) he's about as close to a 5 tool guy as you can find for a 15-17 year old. He's not completely polished which is why he isn't higher but he's definitely an Arias type guy who could stick at SS and has speed and avg hoping that his pop grows with him cause it's good but not MLB good (yet) he's the main guy to watch from this class and he might move up fast probably next year (internationals usually stay at the FCL/Rookie ball or the Dominican league for their first year before they hit the Single A and up leagues)
