With the 8 HC jobs + the Eagles and Chargers OC jobs now open, it seems increasingly likely Mike might land somewhere else. I decided to look into Jake Peetz a bit after I saw the team was going to interview him and was pretty impressed.

Found this segment on him when he was back in Carolina a couple years ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oufzXw8pkfM

At 40 years old, he has the perfect balance of youth and experience. He's held various offensive positions on a variety of college and NFL teams, notably being the OC at LSU in 2021 and being the Pass game specialist with the Rams in 2023 before moving to the Seahawks. It seems like being an OC for a top NFL offense is the undeniable next step for him.

Seems like Seahawks fans don't want to lose him as he's basically a shoe in for their OC spot after Kubiak leaves.

^Seemed like a real stand up guy in that segment, which was 5 years ago so he's definitely grown since then. Seems like a hand on, players coach and was breaking down film super well. Good family man too.

Just not Zac Robinson or Arthur Smith please.

  1. At this point I don’t really care The front office doesn’t seem to either.

You want to go win a super bowl Why don’t you go give Mike McDaniels 10 million dollars a year to OC for two years?

  2. Yay just some other dude to lose his job half way through the season to Campbell.

This is literally an impossible job and nobody should want it. They will always be compared to Ben.

McDaniel is the only dude fans will give a break to if he isn’t scoring 35 a game.

  3. He’s never been a playcaller before, has he? I think if you want to employ somebody from the McVey system, Robinson at least has the playcalling experience, plus he is former Lions player.
