  1. So a career .237 hitter whos good for 25 HR's in a "trick up their sleeve" now lol…………………….boy I miss the days when this ownership group actually wanted to win.

  2. Yeah sign ground ball pitcher for 130MM and then trade for Paredes who sucks defensively. Brilliant. With Story continuing his falloff with the glove this will be a real shiate show infield defensively.

  3. love that you said your piece about the Angry Lizard and his dad is a subscriber. You got Cajones kid. I'm sure Jaren's dad wishes he made that play too. Can't win em all and one play doesn't ever change everything. Its always a culmination of things and unfair to blame an individual in a team sport unless he literally isn't trying. Never seen Jared Duran slack off ever.

  4. All the decent FAs are already signed, so what could they possibly do?! Alonso… GONE. Schwarber… GONE. Tucker… GONE. Bregman… GONE. Sox fans, please stop defending Breslow. He's Bloom 2.0. Meaning awful.

  5. Ranger is a 150 innings max. So they’ll have to pull him back if they have any hope of him cranking it down in September and beyond. They have the horses for it though
As far as spending goes, Henry just seems determined to show the league he’s the smartest guy in the room by playing small market ball. Are they really doing that? Eh, not to the extent everyone, including myself, accuses them of. It’s just maddening when they imply they’re just squeaking bye financially when we know how profitable they are. It’s like the Dems telling us the border is secure as we watch tens of thousands pour over the border with our own two eyes. Just insulting. Fans like a superstar or two on their clubs and damn man…. Boston Red Sox fans deserve it. I mean good god. That’s my take anyway

  6. Did you actually say that the Red Sox made a competitive offer for Alonso? Their offer was 3yrs/$85mil. He signed for 5yrs/$155mil. In what universe is that competitive?

  7. When did people start thinking that .254 with 20 HRs is "very good"? Maybe the obsession with things like launch angle has led to a decrease in BA. 20-25 years ago there was more of a trend toward recognizing the value of OBP (Moneyball era), which highlights walks and HBP (hello, Willson Contreras), but also depends on BA. So many guys today are .245/.300 and people say that they're good.
