A trip to the AFC Championship is on the line as the Denver Broncos host the Buffalo Bills for a divisional round showdown. Denver kicks off its playoff run on Saturday after enjoying a bye over Wild Card Weekend thanks to earning the No. 1 seed in the conference. Meanwhile, Buffalo needed some fourth-quarter heroics from Josh Allen to advance to this stage of the playoffs, rallying late to take down the Jaguars in Jacksonville. They’ll be looking for another road victory to keep their championship hopes alive.
We don’t have to look too far back to find the last time these teams squared off against one another, particularly in the playoffs. That came just last year during the wild-card round. There, Buffalo put together a dominating 31-7 victory at Highmark Stadium. The Bills had total control of that contest, holding possession for 41:43 of regulation and scoring on six of their seven possessions (excluding kneels). However, this is a different season, a different location, and two different teams, and Denver will look to avoid history repeating itself.
