Hi everyone,

I saw this on the Costco website and was wondering if there was somewhere in the GTA that could help me design something similar for my Dad.

The background on this is we watched the 92 and 93 World Series together when I was a kid and have watched the Jays together for my entire life. My wife got us tickets to the ALCS Game 7, which happened to be on my birthday, and a year out from him being declared fully in remission from cancer.

After the game I walked him to the subway and he told me that this was, along with his wedding day, the best day of his life. When I saw the framed photo on the Costco side, I thought about getting it as a gift, but then wondered if I could do better.

Ideally, I'd like to have a photo like this or similar, and then instead of a generic "2025 Playoffs" plaque, I'd love to have ALCS Game 7 October 20, 2025 and then a printed out copy of our digital tickets (lame, I know, but we never got physical ticket stubs).

Is there any kind of business in the GTA that could help me design and create this? I know of some good frame shops, but not sure if this is something they can take on.

  1. You’ll probably need to hire a designer first and then a framing/engraving place. Worth it for something this special, I don’t have anywhere specific to point you unfortunately

  2. I am not a designer but there is for sure someone in Toronto who could make something cool like this. Check poster places or art studios, or even facebook marketplace; we’ve found cool artists locally via that.

Congrats on the cancer freedom, that is beautiful

  3. I’m sure you will find a service that will meet your needs.  But thanks for sharing your personal experience.  Stories like yours is what makes baseball so special to me

  4. Did you two take any photos with each other? I think the Springer picture, “ticket stubs” and a persona picture would be lovely. Michael’s has frames you can probably make a collage with.
