I feel bad for Jets fans. All four of them in attendance are going home sad and cold provided they can start their cars.

  2. Genuine question, why did Hellebuyck respect the potential Matthews shot so much there? He didn’t have much of a lane. Pass to Domi seemed so likely.

EDIT: I may have failed to appreciate that it’s Auston fucking Matthews.

  3. This play is why it’s important that Matthews is playing well. This is the kind of shot that a prime Hellebuyck would have no problem reading and stopping.

But it seemed like he was genuinely caught off guard by Matthews passing it to Domi. Which means that in that moment, it never occurred to him that Matthews wouldn’t be the one taking the shot. I’ve seen goalies far worse than him make that kind of stop plenty of times, but it genuinely looked like he was not prepared for it at ALL.

  4. How much do you think Winnipeg hates Toronto lmao, they are one of the few teams where we just have their number every time.

  5. tuned in just in time to see this goal- why was Bérubé so mad and yelling while on the ice?

  6. Why did Berube storm onto the ice at the end of the game?? SN cut away to the Habs/Sens game.

  7. OEL.. 1G, 2A, plus FOUR. My guy made this goal happen with this incredible lead pass to Matthews who delivered the perfect sauce to Domi.

  8. You know Mitch is watching that and hating Auston now has a new London Knight best friend.

  9. If we would have Domi on the first line with Matthews and Knies earliar maybe we didn’t even need to get rid of Marner because we were always supposed to have Marner drive his own line away from Matthews and Knies. Marner was always the wrong partner for Matthews.

Domi should have been paired with Matthews and a power forward like Knies right from the get-go. I’ve been saying this since 2023. I don’t understand why it took so long just to try letting Domi and Matthews cook together. Instead, Domi kept getting buried on the third and fourth lines, which, to me, was just setting him up to fail.

And honestly, I’m glad Marner is gone. I’ve never been a fan of soft players. That softness tends to spread and makes others soft too.
