2. I don’t see the Sox trading away Duran. They’re trying to compete and signing Ranger Suarez with that team seems for them not to rebuild

5. That offer wouldn't be nearly enough to interest the Red Sox for a number of reasons.

   For starters, you said it yourself – the Red Sox want to win now. They're not going to trade their best position player for a terrible defensive 3B coming off a -0.2 WAR season and two guys who might not see the major leagues until 2027 at the earliest.

   Also, they aren't looking for more young starters, so I doubt Thornton moves the needle for them.

   Jett Williams is solid. He's someone the Red Sox would like. But he's the only piece of that offer that the Red Sox would value.

6. Hell no on JET and Vientos especially now that Alonso is gone as we are lacking from the right handed side. Baty has a high trade value now. Trade him instead as Reimer is coming. I love Thornton,but I would reluctantly do this,but with Baty instead of Vientos,and with Baty’s stock being up right now ,we’d probably get away with a one for one for Duran. But He’ll no on Jet Williams. Non starter 🤬 way on Jet Williams !!!!
