THAT’S OUR FUCKING COACH!!
I want to be optimistic but the fans have been fucked over so many times that I’m waiting till week 5 this time. Then I’m gonna be hyped af. Every year we’re excited and week 3 comes around the corner and we suck again for some goddamn reason
> “We can do thaaat??!”
“Yes we can do that.”
👀 unbelievable!

I believe
If not for injuries and starting a washed up Russ they easily would have won 7 or 8 games this year
A more realistic expectation: let’s be competitive.
I don’t care if we don’t get to the playoffs, but please let me have hope by week 16/17

NGL, i feel like we could win the division at 9-8 or even 8-9 depending on whether or not eagles get their shit together.
edit for more in depth projection:
split the games with nfc east, split afc south, win one vs nfc north, win one vs nfc west, split nfc south. very doable to get 8 or 9 wins, with dallas and washington each getting one or two less.
philly still spooky, but if they fall apart the east is there for the taking.
I’m ngl I think the Giants win the division next year
I’ll settle for playing meaningful games in December and at least spitting with our division.
I 100% believe that. Any other coach saying that would sound like BS. He doesn’t want to see a 5-12 or 6-11 record (that would actually be an improvement in of itself compared to our previous years). New coaches have to earn the respect of the players before establishing the culture. Not applicable for John.
# PUT IT DIRECTLY IN MY VEINS
Optimism hasn’t been this warranted in years. This was such a huge positive change in a crucial area in which we’ve sorely lacked. We win four to five more games easy last year with better coaching. And we weren’t nearly as gelled as will we be come next season.
Every season I get hopefull and believe, this time it’s going to be the same
Quotes like this are always a little funny. Not like he’s gonna say: “yknow, not gonna try next season. We’re cooked.”
That should be everyone’s expectation. This is a “good roster” being held back by poor coaching right? We now have Harbaugh, there should be no excuse this coming season.
I’m excited for the hiring. And I think we have a great future. But I don’t see us winning more than six games next year. Whole secondary needs to be revamped. Dart will win some games for us. But we 3 years away from sniffing the playoffs imho
The crazy thing is, I would normally say “yeah right lol but maybe 2027” and I still think that’s really where I am at, but Harbaugh will make me believe that we can.
I thought we’d make it this past year. I know we’ll make it this coming year!
The crazy thing is this roster – while FAR from perfect – was in the position to win *so* many games vs. quality opponents (and the Saints), even with all the injuries to key players. With better coaching (which we now have) and a less-ridiculous schedule next season, there is nothing to suggest that this team cannot turn the corner.
