  1. I’m almost certain the 2019 opening game we had against the Vikings had to have some influence on this decision. If you want a deep cut lore moment in the Stefanski hire look at that game. Matt Ryan and Kirk were the starting QBs, Stefanski was the Vikings OC and Raheem Morris was the Falcons assistant head coach. The Vikings beat us in all 3 phases and was Stefanski’s flashpoint to being considered one of the best offensive play callers at the time. Which landed him the Browns job.

  2. Drew Breeze and Cam Newton was Matt Ryan's Daddys. WTF does he know except for how to not call audibles and lose. He built his sucess off of Julio Jones back. It makes since he hired another loser. Author Blank please sell the team!!!

  3. I would bet significant money that Kubiak knows where he is going and it wasn’t going to be here. So we grabbed the next best guy. It sucks that we can’t get the top talent, but he’s a solid hire. He’s a better coach than Morris.

  4. I give it a B+ like you said he won coach of the year with the BROWNS not to mention he won it 2 TIMES WITH THE BROWNS. And the Browns had a bad roster. Just imagine what he can do with Atlantas roster

  5. I’m here to tell you that no one listens to your voice of reason. Yesterday you guys said the coach was decided and this wasn’t the pick somehow that was probably even worse of a pic. You guys just throw darts out there.

  6. Stefanski cant develop Penix & had to give up playcalling to the OC twice, & yall still think he's a good coach??! STOP IT!šŸ¤¦šŸ½ā€ā™‚ļø Coach of the year is not winning a superbowl

  7. Here's why I trust this hire over Morris. Matt Ryan has bigger influence on AB now. I trust Matt's knowledge of the game and the NFL landscape, to include personnel hires. I like his level of experience to lead, albeit from the background. And Kirk? Who knows what they'll do with him. I kind of feel like they're setting him up for a commentator role if they choose not tp keep him into 2026, but who would start our season if Kirk is cut? Still many questions to be answered, such as who calls plays outside of KS, who's our GM, and potential player upgrades from Cleveland, but at least we have our HC. Step one complete!

  8. Nobody wanted kubiac last year when he was with the saints. Mfer has one good season with Seattle and now he’s the greatest coach out there. He’s an oc and that’s it. He’s no head coach. He ain’t got that demeanor. Stefansky wins nfc south next year. He will get done what rah couldn’t. And Matt Ryan don’t care what you think. He’s been dealing with this from this fan base for years.

  9. See… I don’t disagree with what you’re saying. The problem is, after all the non-sense fans have been through since Matt Ryan left, you aren’t wanting a ā€œgoodā€ hire.

    You want a great hire.

A hire that inspires hope of possible elite success – not moderate success. Stefanski is a safe hire – high floor and moderate ceiling.

    Kubiak was right there.

The only way this makes sense if Kubiak flat out said he isn’t interested in the Falcons position. Or if Ryan ultimately felt Kubiak would select other available positions if put in the position to choose.

A ā€œBā€ is only an acceptable grade for underachievers. Hopefully this ends up not being that.
