  1. I got a Christmas gift from my brother-in-law this year who isn't a Maple Leafs fan but knows I am. I picked out a hat for him to purchase because well that's what we do. And he got me a different one….. It was a Maple leaf's cup hat….and those of you who know, they won the cup in 1967. Is that a dig?

  2. I feel pretty strongly that "Is There Anything Better" is certainly one of the more interesting bits of hockey lore from the last 10 years for either team. Win or lose it makes every game high stakes between these two and there's a kind of pageantry to that I can't help but appreciate. It also neatly and cleanly portrays Toronto as this perceived Unbeatable, Big Bad Evil Empire, which I can only wish were true.

  3. I've said it a million times but Domi is only effective if you put him with star players and give him enough runway for his creativity to outweigh his mistakes. Matthews is perfect for him because he's responsible defensively. Matthews has played probably the best hockey of his career with Domi on his wing, and I think it's because Domi isn't afraid to try and make passes others won't. Once and a while it blows up in his face, but when it's the two of them it seems to work out more often than not. If Domi's linemates can't burry his passes all that shows on the scoreboard is his mistakes. I also think he needs that challenge of playing with stars. Also he has a bit of that ADHD where he needs to be involved or he disappears.

  4. Steve, these videos continue to be awesome. I don't watch any of these games in South FLA, but after your recaps I feel like I have seen everything – please keep cranking out the content, and I'll keep watching your fantastic work.

    GO CATS

  5. So Leafs got Scott Laughton and Carlo for minten/grebekin and 2 first picks and Vegas somehow got Noah hanfin and Andersson for 2 late first round picks and both were 50 percent retained. Both trades flames for literally got nothing wow I don't understand this league. Leafs still looking for a right offensive dmen since idk Pavel KUBINA and he was whatever lol in 2006
