I’ve defended this man ever since he was a rookie. I’ve defended him through his 2nd and a majority or his 3rd year but this game made me lose all hope in him.

I love CJ, he’s a great person, a great man of god, but his confidence has shattered. He inaccurate, he’s scared, and he thinks he can make all these plays and play like an elite QB. this game was 90% his fault with the weak running game and the unlucky plays on defense.

Now it makes you wonder, if Cj is not our QB who will be… I don’t know

maybe we start mills, maybe we draft a qb, maybe we make a crazy free agent move, I don’t know but i dont think CJ will take us to the Super Bowl

i guess IF we extend him, it won’t be that much which is good, but it hurts like hell because this may have been our only shot.

its going to be a LONG offseason for him, an us, it sucks that we couldn’t do it but I am thankful for this community

I hope Cj shocks all of us, but I dont think he’s got it in him anymore

  4. I agree, the last two games were horrible. Defense carried the team through Pittsburgh, but Stroud simply does not have what it takes. It’s a shame, because we won’t have a defense like this next year. This was really our chance for a Super Bowl appearance and he really blew it for us. I blame him.

  5. There was a time in this sub where you couldn’t criticize him at all without being crucified. He is a bust. It’s time to move on. Unfortunately we all know that’s not going to happen.

  16. Even the halftime crew were saying Davis mills was going to come out in 2nd half. That says alot. …. im sure it was going through demeco mind tho.

  18. He has a lot of work to do. He seems to be mentally fragile and easily disturbed… Even though he puts on the stoic face. I also think he exposed the inner workings of the locker room. I saw no one visibly upset, no coach in CJs face… Where’s the fire, the emotions… Why aren’t you MAD?

  19. Crazy how accurate he often was, putting the ball on a string to receivers in stride. His accuracy and clutch factor were his biggest strengths, and they’ve just progressively gotten worse and worse over two seasons until they became weaknesses. And without that he has nothing. This falloff has to be studied.

    I said after his underwhelming second year that he deserved a third after what he did for us, pulling us out of the shit. Now that third year is over and I think he’s shown he’s not the guy. Jalen Green situation in Houston.

  20. He needs to go to work with Phillip Rivers and learn how to read a defense. Drake Maye made pre snap adjustments and CJ RARELY does pre snap adjustments which kills us.

  21. He needs to go to OSU football summer camp. He has regressed severely since leaving. He also needs to take Caley so they can figure out what he likes and does well to maximize his potential.

    Jerrod Johnson needs to be fired, he is bad at his job, his QB is getting worse and his only job is to make him better.

    He can be salvaged- look at Sam Darnold and Trevor Lawrence. It’s about maximizing his strengths and the offense isn’t doing it.

    Plus they need a legit O-line that he feels safe behind.

  23. With our Defense you just need a QB to not lose. Davis Mills can do that. Spend the money on the offensive line.
