We were 1 week away from losing Harbaugh to the Bills….glad the giants didn't mess around.

  1. Why do you assume Harbaugh would have went to the Bills? He cancelled his other interviews because he liked the Giants so much. He signed a very big contract not even considering the money he got, he has a ton of control within the organization now.

  2. Who’s to say Harbaugh would have chosen them for sure? It’s a better team at the moment, but Harbaugh seems to have had some weird crush on the Giants organization. The legacy, the respect for the Mara’s…

I think our luck is mostly that he even likes our franchise in the first place.

  3. There is no way Harbaugh was going to the Bills and losing all that power.

The Bills literally promoted their embattled GM today.

  4. This cycle has felt really unique in that we seemed to genuinely be the top opening. High draft pick, young team with lots of potential, pretty low expectations considering the past 10 years, willingness to offer high leverage within the organization, etc.

Almost every other opening has higher expectations and worse conditions than us.

  5. I hope Dabs gets that job. Sure thats a dream scenario for him… and then hes not in Philly.

  6. This is a big step, free agents will think more seriously about signing with the Giants.

  7. I keep saying this to people on Twitter who keep joking that Harbaugh should’ve waited to get the Bills job. The Bills promoted Beane to President of Football Operations. That means he has full control of the organization. He gets to hire the next HC and that coach will report directly to Beane. Harbaugh’s success with the Ravens had a lot to do with their org structure. Harbaugh reported directly to Bisciotti, not Ozzie or Decosta. He wanted the same thing with his next organization, to report directly to the owner and collaborate with the GM. The Bills would not have given Harbaugh that power. And why should they? They’ve been a playoff contender every yr with McDermott. They don’t need to restructure their entire org, the Giants needed to. And if your the Bills, why would you fire a guy who can’t get you over the hump, just to hire a guy….who also couldn’t get over the hump??? Makes no sense. If anything, Stefanski should’ve waited and taken the Bills job.

  8. Daboll to Bills and plays Harbaugh and the New Yok Football Giants in the superbowl would be great.

  9. Absolutely crazy coach cycle this year. Tomlin, Harbaugh, Stefanski, McDermott, McDaniel all let go and then you got some hot coordinators like Shula, Minter and Kubiak. We really lucked out with the Bills winning the first week and the Packers sticking with MLF. Also, not cleaning house last year was somehow a blessing in disguise lol

  10. Im so glad we made it official this weekend cause I feel that the Bills vacancy is a situation that many would die for.

  11. He has a much longer leash here. If he went to the bills and they don’t make it to a super bowl in a few years he’d be gone. With the giants he’s basically guaranteed to finish out his5 year contract and as long as they at least make the playoffs in like 3/5 years he will forsure get another contract

  12. I dont think he would pick the Bills over the Giants. I think his agent even stated that he wants to play for a legacy organization, and while that is not a slight against the Bills…. this is the NY fricken Giants.

  13. Have a great opportunity to have some elite coordinators. Already assuming we have Monken.

  14. I volunteer to coach the Aquatic Mammals. I mean, I suck, but I guarantee I can beat the Jets twice.
