Grand Rapids is STACKED
I’m surprised how low he is on Max Plante. Hobey Baker favorite as a sophomore at 19 (leads league in goals and points)? Makes it seem that if he improves his skating he could be a legit high-end top 6 prospect.
Another note I wanted to point out is how stacked our goalie pipeline is. You could argue Cossa is the favourite for AHL goalie of the year, Augustine for NCAA goalie of the year, Guimond for CHL goalie of the year, and Pradel for USHL goalie of the year. That is domination in every relevant league in North America outside the NHL. Quite impressive.

Are Mazurs chances cooked? Is he Svechnikov 2.0? Really a bummer if that’s the case.
Great writeup. Much more insightful, thoughtful, and internally consistent than Pronman’s evaluations/list.
I do wish he would’ve given an idea of where he sees Wallinder’s progress at, rather than just saying he missed the age cutoff, but you have to draw the line somewhere.
