Titans why

  1. Relative scales of ‘failed’ but Bill Belichick, Andy Reid and Pete Carroll were all re-treads.

  2. You think coaching the problem for the titans not ownership is a wild thing to think about

  3. Saleh did not fail the Jets. The Jets failed him.

I really want him to stay with us but the dude is obviously a solid HC candidate and with the right team will make a big splash.

  4. Avoiding the obvious “Vrabel” comments, I think a second chance for head coaches is not absurd. Most people don’t succeed at everything the first try, and the good ones will take the lessons they learned to heart and improve.

“Everyone deserves a second chance” is a cliche platitude, but I think there’s a lot of merit to it. Now, third and fourth chances in spite of all available evidence… that’s just poor ownership/leadership.

  5. The only franchise time in and time out that has proved they have wasted guys times and career is the jets. Big Bob Sapwh might be another Sam Darnold situation.

  6. Zach Wilson, a terrible owner, and then Aaron Rogers acl. All Salehs fault.. He lead a defense composed mostly of bench players to the playoffs, beat the defending champs, and ran into a buzzsaw with rest. As a Hawks fan, Saleh is legit.

  7. Saleh was amongst the hottest HC prospects. I consider him still a new HC hire instead of a retread just because his time on the Jets was fucking whacky and stupid. No one should blame that tenure on him.

  8. What is a failed head coach? Coaches don’t succeed everywhere. It’s incredibly difficult to win in this league and sometimes they don’t even get enough time to implement their own vision for the roster. Football discourse is so ridiculously reactionary.
