I haven't been to a Toronto game in about 13 years and I also haven't been to union station in about as long. I can't believe how much it has changed. Anyway I had a couple hours to kill so I thought I'd check out the Leafs Merch store attached to the arena. Staff opened a huge gate near the jersey section of the store and I just walked through it thinking it was another exit. Next thing I know I'm in the building behind the scenes and at that point I had to walk around and take it all in. Was a very cool experience

  1. “Sorry I was just looking for something in bed bath and beyond, is this the beyond section?”

  2. I’m going to imagine you walked around with an invisibility cloak and evaded all security.

  3. I used to see a couple leaf games for free easiest thing to do. It’s hard now because the tickets are all digital. But I used to hang out by gate two and three usually 5/10 minutes into the game all the big suit guys would leave nine out of 10 times I usually ended up walking in with tickets

  4. This is a good way to get trespassed from the building, and also banned from all MLSE venues. Maybe there’s nothing exciting for you at BMO Field but if you enjoy concerts I wouldn’t advise getting banned from SBA or History.

  5. I’ve never tried Scotiabank, but it’s really easy to sneak into Blue Jays games without a ticket. They don’t enforce the ticket scanning once you get past the metal detectors. If you stick close to a group you can just walk on by once you get in the doors.

  6. During the 92/93 playoff runs with Cujo and Glimour, I had a friend who worked concessions at the Gardens. We would sneak into the gardens using his concession stand shirts as the only evidence to prove that we work there. we’d get there about an hour and a half earlier than the game starts and hide in the bathrooms until we started hearing people roll in, put the T-shirts underneath our jackets and watch the game from standing room. We did that the entire playoff run that year.

  7. I have a feeling this thread will make the news and give the Maple Leafs’ head of security a heart attack.

Pretty cool photos though! Always wondered what was behind the proverbial curtain.

  8. Not going to give away any secrets but it is very easy to sneak in. I’ve done it many times but never committed to staying and watching a game.
