That was the best I have seen you. Nice work.
Ian Happ?! 1:30
I want Horener to balance the lineup and offset some of the swing and miss from Julio and Cal
Hoerner is a stud and would be an incredible addition not only for his bat to ball skills but also his amazing glove. Also your video editor needs to learn the difference between Nico Hoerner and Ian Happ lol
It's been a typical Mariners sleepy, snoozy, woozy, off-season, putting us all to sleep, making us numb with boredom. I say start the kids. Let the kids thrive. The kids will drive the Mariners to their first World Series.
What a cop out. Wasnāt aggressive or proactive enough in filling hole so few options remain. This is their own doing – they arenāt victims.
If the phillies sign Bichette, itās Edmundo Sosa available? Kind of a righty Brendan Donovan
The second picture of āNico Hoernerā is of Ian Happ š. My #1 guy⦠ššš
Its Hoerner and its Donovan and then its geno
Letās get Rivas and Bliss in the mix too- maybe someone is a breakout player, I agree , give everyone a chance to step up and someone may š±
If not Nico or Bo, go with the kids. Not ideal, but that's what we're left with. I don't know if there's a bat right now outside of those two, Kyle Tucker miracle not withstanding, that's worth the cost or effort to get.
Agreed on almost all of this. Problem is, its a failure to go into 2026 WORSE than we ended 2025. That's exactly what's lining up. Depending on unproven youngsters at two key infield positions for at least half a year is not what a contending team does.
Real question⦠Is that a tattoo or a sharpie line going down the middle of the chinš¤
Would love to get Nico or Donovan, but this made me more comfortable with waiting till maybe the deadline to get a bigger move done. Justin and Trader Jerry made magic last year
I would love for Colt Emerson to earn a spot on the opening roster. I just don't want him to be forced cause there is no one else…
Gino didn't hit lefty's.
Cole Young and Ben Williamson.
You like Hoener better than Donovan? (Me too!) I hate to say it, but I kind of agree that we wait and give the young guys a chance. I hate to give up the farm for Donovan (who I'm not completely sold on) and I don't think the Cubs will trade Hoener unless the M's spend a lot. Good Vlog! Thanks. Wish you'd do more!!
Geno for the fulltime DH, 3B on days they want Cal to DH or a tough righty.
Lineup needs thump aside from Julio and Cal. Randy and Naylz are more in the 20-25 range. They need another bat with 30+ HR threat and Geno fits that
Iām afraid this is exactly what is going to happen. They donāt add at all the rest of the off-season hoping to add at the deadline. The problem is we donāt know who will be available. Itās a bad plan. Especially for a team that was 8 outs from their first World Series!
Defense and pitching are much more controllable facets of the game over power hitting (HRs). HR hitters are streaky. All of the major Mās pundits are so focused on this that they canāt see the overall game. The reason that Mās go for swing and miss pitchers is due to having a poor defense. Pitchers like Jamie Moyer couldnāt exist in this environment. Getting Caleb Ferguson last deadline didnāt make sense with this Mās defense as he, too, was ground ball pitcher.
The Mās missed out on Willi Castro. Castro would have made sense as a contingency to all of young position players (RF Canzone, 3B Williamson, SS Emerson, or 2B Young), plus moving JP to DH. Improved defense and a switch hitter in Castro , wouldāve made the team better.
Trying to recreate the best lineup in decades as in 2025 is a daunting task for any GM. Losing Suarez and Polanco in the offseason meant that the Mās were never gonna have a better lineup in 2026. Last year, the Seattle Times labeled the Mās lineup as the best in decades. This was a once in a lifetime. The Mās went all in at the trade deadline. Getting to the World Series was up to the players and coaches. The 2025 season depended on opportunity and luck. Enjoy the 2026 season and be thankful for last season.
