  1. Hoerner is a stud and would be an incredible addition not only for his bat to ball skills but also his amazing glove. Also your video editor needs to learn the difference between Nico Hoerner and Ian Happ lol

  2. It's been a typical Mariners sleepy, snoozy, woozy, off-season, putting us all to sleep, making us numb with boredom. I say start the kids. Let the kids thrive. The kids will drive the Mariners to their first World Series.

  3. What a cop out. Wasn’t aggressive or proactive enough in filling hole so few options remain. This is their own doing – they aren’t victims.

  4. If not Nico or Bo, go with the kids. Not ideal, but that's what we're left with. I don't know if there's a bat right now outside of those two, Kyle Tucker miracle not withstanding, that's worth the cost or effort to get.

  5. Agreed on almost all of this. Problem is, its a failure to go into 2026 WORSE than we ended 2025. That's exactly what's lining up. Depending on unproven youngsters at two key infield positions for at least half a year is not what a contending team does.

  6. Would love to get Nico or Donovan, but this made me more comfortable with waiting till maybe the deadline to get a bigger move done. Justin and Trader Jerry made magic last year

  7. You like Hoener better than Donovan? (Me too!) I hate to say it, but I kind of agree that we wait and give the young guys a chance. I hate to give up the farm for Donovan (who I'm not completely sold on) and I don't think the Cubs will trade Hoener unless the M's spend a lot. Good Vlog! Thanks. Wish you'd do more!!

  8. Geno for the fulltime DH, 3B on days they want Cal to DH or a tough righty.

Lineup needs thump aside from Julio and Cal. Randy and Naylz are more in the 20-25 range. They need another bat with 30+ HR threat and Geno fits that

  9. I’m afraid this is exactly what is going to happen. They don’t add at all the rest of the off-season hoping to add at the deadline. The problem is we don’t know who will be available. It’s a bad plan. Especially for a team that was 8 outs from their first World Series!

  10. Defense and pitching are much more controllable facets of the game over power hitting (HRs). HR hitters are streaky. All of the major M’s pundits are so focused on this that they can’t see the overall game. The reason that M’s go for swing and miss pitchers is due to having a poor defense. Pitchers like Jamie Moyer couldn’t exist in this environment. Getting Caleb Ferguson last deadline didn’t make sense with this M’s defense as he, too, was ground ball pitcher.

The M’s missed out on Willi Castro. Castro would have made sense as a contingency to all of young position players (RF Canzone, 3B Williamson, SS Emerson, or 2B Young), plus moving JP to DH. Improved defense and a switch hitter in Castro , would’ve made the team better.

  11. Trying to recreate the best lineup in decades as in 2025 is a daunting task for any GM. Losing Suarez and Polanco in the offseason meant that the M’s were never gonna have a better lineup in 2026. Last year, the Seattle Times labeled the M’s lineup as the best in decades. This was a once in a lifetime. The M’s went all in at the trade deadline. Getting to the World Series was up to the players and coaches. The 2025 season depended on opportunity and luck. Enjoy the 2026 season and be thankful for last season.
