[Prashanth Iyer]Alex DeBrincat Can Beat You Every Way

  1. Nobody hustles more on a nightly basis than the Cat. He is so consistent with his effort, you can just tell he’s wanted to be a Red Wing his whole life.

  2. He can beat you every way, which is why he’s a good guy to have with your club. 🙂

  3. Yeah but he’s not a glue guy like JT Miller so there’s just no room for him on Team USA 😒

  4. If you watch 3 or 4 Wings games, you quickly learn Cat is the man. Dude does not quit despite a high skill level.

  5. I mentioned on the post game thread after the Sens game that he’s worth every single penny of his contract right now. Not only does he score goals like a madman, he’s putting in 100% effort into every shift and his defensive game doesn’t get enough credit. He’s constantly breaking up chances in the dzone and into transition for a chance down the ice. His forechecking is surprisingly great for such a small-skilled guy. I’d say he’s cemented himself as a core player for the Wings. Reckon he’ll retire a Red Wing and take a slight discount to do so.

  6. He needs a different nickname. There’s nothing cat-like about him. He’s 100% a dawg

  7. My brother is on DeBrincats sisters bar trivia team and she told my brother that mostly what Alex does is drink milk and rip pucks in his basement all day lol

  8. Drives me crazy all the Habs fans losing their minds over Caufield not being on the Olympic team. Debrincat would be the guy over Caufield all day. Very similar skillset, but Cat being the veteran and having the checking game makes it pretty obvious to me that he would be more effective.

  9. He’s *my* size but he moves and positions like he’s thirty pounds bigger and three inches taller; he gets up and gets moving quickly when knocked down. He knows to keep his stick on the ice ready for the puck to show up on offense and he knows both where the puck is and where his defensive assignment is seemingly at all times.

Dude is one of the most complete high-compete players I’ve seen on this team in a long time.

Plus on the powerplay I get to chant “Feed the Cat, Feed the Cat” and it’s just the funniest thing to me.

  10. If you look up “hockey player” in the dictionary, there is no description. It’s just a picture of Alex DeBrincat.
