The weren’t going to get anything at this point and it was a matter of time until he was injured again. This trade feels good to just have it finally over with. It was beyond time to move on for both sides. Wish him the best and better times are coming for the team.

Yes but have you considered that the Mets are picking up most of the tab on Robert’s contract? That money can be used to sit on like an old miserly Scrooge, just the way Jerry wants to go out of this world.

I love how the Sox ‘freed up financial flexibility’ by trading Robert’s $20 million contract. They were already in the bottom of the league in fucking payroll, there was already flexibility if Reinsdorf didn’t run this team like it’s in fucking Des Moines
Mets fan here (Sox are AL team). You’ll like Acuna. He was just getting no playing time in NY. Wish we could’ve kept him, but he’s been raking in winter league.

Guys I’m begging you all to stop watching this team. I can’t stand this man, he’s sucked for my entire life. Any championship that he has gotten has been pure luck. Don’t go to the games, don’t watch any of the games, don’t buy merchandise, don’t do anything with this team! He doesn’t deserve our hard earned money! This guy could care less about any of us and he’s showed that year after year
