I don’t like that one of the people voting on the stadium said this out loud. It just makes it seem like one small thing that goes wrong could completely destroy this stadium agreement.

Although I’ve been noticing a the recent trend of negative articles from the times regarding this stadium ordeal. Idk.

  1. I swear to fucking god, if I have to hear Ken Hagan open his damn mouth about the Rays stadium one more time, I will personally pack him up and move *his* sorry ass to Orlando.

    Fuck Ken Hagan.

  2. Stadium agreement? What agreement? There’s a non binding agreement on some land. Without the necessary financing and about 1,000 other details, it won’t happen. I’m optimistic, but there’s a million things that need to happen between now and 2029 for us to continue having a team in tampa.

The hard part is about to begin, which is figuring out how it’s gonna get paid for.

  3. Um fortunately whoever the hell this guy is has no control over the rays going to orlando

  4. This is just part of the process. When you are negotiating to buy a house…you need to make the current owner think you might like another property better. Same goes for buying a car. When the Bucs wanted a new stadium…they made it seem like they might leave for another city. It’s always the play to make you think they could leave to put pressure on the city and county to cough up money. I hate this part of the game…but it’s how it’s played. I am not going to worry about Orlando or any other city until this deal falls through and they have worked out all other possible options in the area. Tampa is the 11th largest TV market. They are not going to want to give that up lightly. Orlando is getting up there…they are 15th…but it’s a lot of transients and the Mouse and tourists. I think they are much better off staying in Tampa.
