1. Short, young, and fast? Welcome to the Milwaukee Brewers. 

   We’ll teach you defense and pray your power is big league ready. 

2. Short term SS that moves to CF post lock out.

   He was probably the most MLB ready SS prospect available in a trade for those of you who wanted Ortiz replaced.

3. He seems to have a surprising amount of pop for someone of his stature

4. Prototypical Brewers player that the organization loves to develop. Also the bonus of a cool name.

6. That’s an enticing combination of power & speed, especially for a guy his size. Looks like he made double digit starts at 2nd, short, and CF last year so he might see a lot of innings right away.

7. I expect he’ll be depth at SS and mostly plays the OF. He is right handed so he doesn’t fit as a replacement for Ortiz who hasn’t had any problems hitting lefties. His arm isn’t considered good enough at SS and the Brewers just value defense too much to play him a lot there. My guess is he becomes the backup 2B and plays some in the OF only after spending some time at AAA to start the season.

   They aren’t finding a replacement for Ortiz as much as some people want them to, he is a 1.5-3 WAR player so you can’t just find an easy replacement. At best you can find someone to take some of PA against right handed pitching.

9. Hopefully they are both all stars then Anastasia can get rid of them.

10. I like getting Sproat but I’m not jazzed about this guy. Feel free to crucify me but small size + high strikeouts spooks me.

13. He had 100 walks as a 20 yr old. Dude is exactly what the brewers go after.. can play anywhere and is always on base.

14. We really traded a top 5 cy young finisher for a guy who COULD be another Quinn Priester eventually and an Andruw Monasterio clone. I’m gonna be sick

16. Best case is that he is really good and then we can trade him for prospects. And then they may be very good too!

18. Rumors were that they wanted a Pitcher in the deal but then they send Myers with Freddy too? Takes a big chip at our pitching depth for next year.
