I always wonder what could have been had Crede’s back not blown up 🙁
Fuck Nick Swisher.
As has been said, this is 2008. We opened in Cleveland with a 10-8 loss. We had 8 xbh, including 2 home hrs and 1 from dye. Mark Buehrle got shelled with 7 runs in 1.2.
This team would go on to win the division, with a 89-74 record. (Anyone remember game 163?) Lost to the Rays in the divisional round.
2008. What a fun season. Also for some reason the first thought I had seeing Cabrera was Jermaine Dye losing it at him in the dugout because Dye was distracted by Cabrera’s antics on the bases while he was up to bat

I wanted this team to get us back to the WS.
I loved this team… graduated HS in 08 so this was it for me in those days. Take me back
