  1. Come to daddy.

Really trying not to get my hopes up, but Framber at like 5 years, $165M makes too much sense. I could also see them thinking they could fix Gallen at closer to a $25M AAV.

  2. Who’s available right now? Gallen and Framber via free agency, but there’s also people they can trade for, I guess?

  3. If the O’s add Framber, the AL East is gonna have 4 of the top 8 teams by Fangraphs DC projected war. So that’s fun.

  4. Someone tell me I’m an idiot, but shouldn’t the O’s be interested in backend bullpen help? Trusting Helsley doesn’t seem particularly wise

  5. His age is a little concerning but I do think Framber Valdez has become incredibly underrated. Last year wasn’t his best year but he was still quite good – he threw 192 IP and all of his ERA/FIP (and expected ERA/FIP) were below 3.75. And [from 2023-2024 he had the third-highest WAR among all pitchers](https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders/major-league?pos=all&stats=pit&lg=all&type=6&month=0&ind=0&startdate=&enddate=&season1=2023&season=2024&sortcol=2&sortdir=desc&qual=60&pagenum=1) – ahead of guys like Logan Webb, Tarik Skubal, Corbin Burnes, and Gerrit Cole.

  6. They’ve been trying to Tarik for years with a package of Coby Mayo and a bag of chips. No thanks

  7. I’d rather see them trade for Joe Ryan than sign Valdez. I know it would suck to give up the prospect capital, but I just can’t get over what framber did to his catcher.

  8. I’d love a dark horse deal for Joe Ryan honestly. Framber being a FA makes things simpler by multiple degrees but Ryan is evidently being shopped (or at least made available) and I love his stuff.

  9. This offseason more than any feels like a free agent queue, like only one thing can happen at a time
