Giannis Antetokounmpo was unhappy after the Milwaukee Bucks fell 122-102 to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Despite facing a short-handed Thunder, the Bucks couldn’t get going, losing four of the past five games to the defending NBA champions.
After they suffered their third consecutive loss by at least 18 points, the two-time NBA MVP blamed selfishness on the team’s recent struggles.

“We’re not playing hard,” Antetokounmpo said, per ESPN. “We aren’t doing the right thing. We’re not playing to win. We’re not playing together. Our chemistry’s not there. Guys are being selfish, trying to look for their own shots instead of looking for the right shot for the team. Guys trying to do it on their own.
“At times, I feel like when we’re down 10, down 15, down 20, we try to make it up in one play, and it’s not going to work.”
Like every single season, trade rumors involving Giannis Antetokounmpo surfaced early in the 2025-26 campaign. The 2021 NBA champion has been a sought-after player in the league. 29 teams would be willing to send almost everybody on the roster to acquire his talents, but the Bucks remain reluctant to move him.

The Bucks rank 11th in the Eastern Conference standings (18-25), 1.5 games behind the Atlanta Hawks. They could secure a play-in tournament spot, but Antetokounmpo has urged them to get it together and play like they are supposed to.
Antetokounmpo has averaged 28.2 points, 9.9 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game, shooting 64.7% from the floor in 29 games.
