I don’t think it’s a new mascot per se, I think it’s still “Thunderbug,” just in one of those blow up outfits that can eat people as a gag.
For a while though, they did have a girl Thunderbug named Ladybug that was a more “normal” mascot.
A bunch of pro teams around this time were using inflatable versions of their mascots in addition to the regular mascots. I believe the Benny the Bull inflatable was very popular, and I also remember a video where the Toronto Raptor one “ate” a cheerleader or something.
This Thunderbug got scrapped when the new jerseys released
I miss that logo ⚡
That’s ThundAIRbug; he was just at the last game (with the current jersey, of course)
