I didn’t think teams were allowed to block requests if the position is considered a promotion? Which “high ranking” makes it sound like this would be

I mean, it couldn’t have been that high ranking of a job if we are blocking it. I thought you could only block an interview if it was a lateral move.
I can’t help but wonder how much of this is Matt Ryan’s influence. For some reason I’m envisioning him coming in like Luke Wilson in Idiocracy telling the smartest people in the Falcons organization that Brawndo might not be the best solution for growing plants.
