To sit out, after putting up those two playoff performances… like the absolute balls…
Houstonian here good take Fitz. We love CJ, he has talent and potential still left to live up to, but leadership and personality is a small concern for me. Things are great when their great but when things are bad I just am not sold on CJ bringing the wagons and team around together. Something about his demeanor tells me he's going to be satisfied with good play. We want great play and constant improvement. Id trade him as talented as he is, he's not the full package. Take off the rose colored glasses, great QB but needs to work on a few traits like we all do. We cant pay him like a superstar when were still "hoping" to see it. Dont need a Kyler Murray situation.
If his agent is telling him to ask for more money. Then he needs to fire his or her ass immediately lol. No one should be asking for pay after a performance like that 🤦🏻♂️
He has another year plus a 5th year option, I say see if he turns things around next year, if he does, pick up his 5th year option and if he repeats, then you pay him! If he sits, then trade him.
Send him to Buffalo so Josh can get into an organization that isn't dysfunctional.
No way that dude deserves 60M
If the Texans had issues paying Deshaun Watson (a SIGNIFICANTLY better player than CJ stroud), no chance they pay CJ. CJ isn’t one of those guys that pops off the page, physically, so why pay him? He’s not athletic, he doesn’t have a rocket of an arm. Hes been known for his accuracy, but that has suffered over the past two years. What does he do that makes you say, “wow this guy deserves $250 million”.
I hope he sits out. That would show how delusional CJ is. Make it easy. There still a minority portion of the fanbase carrying water for CJ. He acts entitled and these opportunities come often. The defense carried the team, not him. He sits out, you draft a QB and send Mr. Softness somewhere else.
CJ and his agent have no leverage whatsoever to ask for a contract extension this offseason. He gonna have to prove himself next season. And still he doesn’t deserve 60 mill a year. That’s crazy talk!
He does not deserve anything close to max contract. He is a liability. Patriots defense did nothing special. He tried losing the last 2 games
Don’t set back your organization by paying CJ, trade him
We cant give him that kind of money after this years playoff performance
DO NOT PAY HIM AND IM A PATRIOTS FAN
I HOPE they don’t give him $60Ms
If the GM gives Stroud that kind of money, he needs to be fired
CJ Stroud's trade value…..a used football and a pair of used cleats
He ain't worth it!! Let CJ go!!
1.) I think Houston is a cheap org
2.) I think that game was kind of a "Ben Simmons" moment, the way the media keeps replaying those plays vs Josh Allen's turnovers
3.) I can totally see that defense not being as good by the time they get a QB who can win them the SB.
It's no the 90s anymore, it's not even the aughts. The idea of winning with a great defense, and a placeholder qb, is not as likely in the era of a few yards past midfield being FG range.
Thank you Ftiz. And didn’t you play for us in the past??. And yes, I would trade him, I’ll take Sanders.
Trade him to Cleveland for 2 1st rd picks lol
To believe or not to believe that is the question! Worse case scenario, the Arizona Cardinals would take him.
30-40M ok book it. But 60??? NAH
I'd trade him.
Trade him please
Definitely not worth that much money
I'll take fitz as head coach of the buffalo bills. I think he would kill it
I think we’re jumping to conclusions on an individual without considering his foundational moral code. I don’t think it’s in his character to hold out for more money, just like I don’t see him turning his back on the org. Whatever happens I’m sure it’ll be beneficial for both parties and no relationships will be damaged between the two.
I hope they do give him the contract. Take the Texans off the board for a decade.
Go get levis off the packers
They are all being paid too much. Let's stop watching pro sports.
As a Texans fan, CJ is a cancer for our organization. He's completely delusional and does not care about winning a SB. We'll be stuck in mediocrity hell with him here. I really hope we trade him but Houston fans have a similarly low IQ and keep defending him hence why I doubt a move will be made. We'll probably miss the playoffs next season and then clean house and start from scratch again.
His confidence and game has plummeted since mid-rookie season. He's gone. A cab driver would have taken them to the SB.
@11:35 Aaron Rodgers had so much arm talent. I think it was always inevitable he was gonna be elite at the next level.
You cant teach pure arm talent. People ignore the fact that Greenbay prioritises elite natural arm talent in their QBs for a reason.
Its why they have success drafting QBs. Andy Reid took that scouting philosophy to KC and drafted Mahomes.
