This is objectively the biggest loss of our offseason :/
I wonder if he’s going to NBC
This is the actual greatest loss the Mets have gone through this offseason.

Along with Gary, Keith, and Ron, John DeMarsico and the creativity of the SNY broadcast (Bill Webb before John) is what made the Mets worth watching all those terrible Wilpon years. He will be sorely missed and combined with losing a lot of other longtime Mets (even if the team is better) this feels like a bit of a loss for continuity of the Mets long-term identity.
What different direction?
Are they using AI maybe? I don’t get how the department could make this guy wanna leave. Dude was getting national recgnition

This is a massive loss for us. We were so freaking lucky to have John direct THE best broadcast in baseball, maybe in all of North American sports. His creative direction was, for me, equal in quality to Kieth, Gary and Ron in the booth. In many ways this will hurt the fan’s experience long past the loss of Diaz and Pete.
I hope John gets a gig working for another one of my teams. As a person who works in creative production I appreciate everything that he did to make SNY broadcasts unique and fantastic. Thank you John.
New top free agent? Wonder where he’ll end up, guessing somewhere doing national broadcasts.

DeMarsico is one of those guys that can make any team entertaining to watch. Any of the other 29 teams should be trying to get him.

I met him through a discord channel we were on for a while. Really cool guy, I wish him the best.

This is an unfathomable loss. John was responsible for the best broadcast in baseball and it’s unthinkable what the games are going to look like without his brilliance at the helm. I’m really discouraged by this whole thing.
As a Phillies fan, fuck the Wilpons. This is sooooo dumb of SNY. The Mets don’t own SNY, the Wilpons do.
