I don’t wanna be one of those guys that complains about officiating but man the officiating was truly brutal tonight and might have costed OKC a close game tonight.
Even the fouls that were called, Jackson jumped 10 feet in the air and JWill in the chest landing but wasn’t even reviewed for a reckless close out flagrant foul that get called very often.

Pacers fans will see this and claim that only we were allowed to hack in the finals last year. Him and Nembhard were bearhugging Shai from full court yet let Dort literally breathe or do anything and they demand him be executed
The reality is that the NBA is going to sell out integrity for fan approval a lot of the time. Fans don’t like the Thunder and think every call that goes their way was a call in from Vegas. The garbage ass Pacers beating the top seed Thunder is also going to get a lot of media engagement, too.
And yet if we actually made some open 3s this wouldn’t have mattered we need to make it so that reffing isn’t an issue guys like Dort and Joe need to be WAYYY better
Refs were terrible (and extremely inconsistent), but not the main reason why we lost. Shorthanded Thunder team + Pacers who couldn’t miss from 3 = recipe for disaster. Though I think they really need to clean up their 3 point defense. Bad 3 point shooting teams keep shooting the lights out against us and it’s no longer a coincidence at this point.
Excuses lol. Relax. We have no ball handlers in this game outside of Shai. We can’t shoot and we can’t rebound. What did you expect ?
Overall thunder played well
We’re champs we don’t complain about these small fouls, we hit shots get stops and win by 20, if 2 specific players hit 3 more shots and went 6/16 instead of 3/16 we win ez onto the next one

All we had to do was shoot 30% from 3 and we wouldn’t be having this conversation.
Don’t blame the refs. We were short handed and didn’t shoot that well.
Still the number one. seed stop looking for excuses. Zoom out and look at the bigger picture
I’ve paid a little more attention to the refs officiating games and I’m not sure if it’s due to inexperience, but the ref Jenna Schroeder has been pretty notorious for officiating games pretty poorly across multiple teams

The real issue rn outside of all that is if ihart were playing none of these losses would have happened. We can’t rebound without him. Not hitting from deep isn’t helping either
It is going harder for SGA to get a foul from any situation in this season and after, because of the FT merchant things.
I think somehow the refs judgement during the game is not only about the accuracy of the calls, but the refs would love to find an opportunity to change the momentum of any team, to make the game more exciting in their ways. Even though the call can be very strange to our eyes.

Jenna Schroeder is one of the least competent officials in the game. Just about every game I see her in, it’s just poorly officiated.
What happened to shame in our society. This is your teams identity. You can’t do this to every opposing team in every game you play and complain when Shai doesn’t get his usual absurdly soft whistle.
