I feel like this stretch of games leading up to the Olympics was going to be make ar break for the Leafs. And it appears they have gone with the Break option. Do we think they can round back into form here to peel off a few crucial wins?

    Honestly, this offseason should be interesting.

  4. Yup. Huge stretch for the Leafs to get into a playoff spot and they blew it.

    There will only be 82 Leafs games this season. Tonight sealed it for me.

    Cause I feel like its coming, even if its a fight right to the end.

  11. no. the point streak was the high point of the season along with matthews breaking the goal record other than that an awful season, Scarier future.

  12. We knew the schedule and the quality of competition was going to be rough, but the team has not risen to the occasion whatsoever. Just straight up rolled over like they were in a playoff series.

  16. This team is better with Marner. Keefe is better than Berube. Dubas is better than Tre. And Shanny should still be here too.

  17. Only one of those teams, Winnipeg, was not a playoff team. And they still needed overtime to win that game.

  24. This market protects goaltenders too much and I get it. It’s a tough position to play no doubt.

    Not every golie out there would be able to play to the top of their game here as they need to overcome the noise. Most of the noise we make and it gets amplified by the media as well.

    Treliving and Berube did irreparable harm in 2 years. It’s over. Time to rebuild.

  28. This team is *at least* 2 solid defencemen away from contention. It’s hard to convince a lone player to come here when the expectations are so high. We don’t have assets outside of our roster to acquire anyone, so we would have to move forward talent to improve our D. Not sure we can do that *and* turn into a contender. Feels like we’re at the stage where we might just be better off selling everything and rebuilding as much as that would suck. Getting out of this mess seems impossible.
