I’m more shocked that so many people act like Stefanski was holding back Shedeur on the depth chart because he liked Dillon Gabriel
They seem to forget Shedeur threw 5x more interceptions as Gabriel while starting only 1 more game.
For clarification I do think Shedeur has a higher ceiling than Gabriel, but he was incredibly turnover prone this season and most coaches will keep starting the guy who commits less turnovers.
If he’s gonna do that with Penix, he’ll turn into a star
Ngl reading this actually makes me fairly optimistic with Stefanski running the show, and I’ve been strongly neutral and cautious so far.
If Penix is truly our long term guy, it seems like Stefanski will do everything in his power to get him the development and opportunities he will need
That’s the best interview those two have ever done. Not a high bar I know(especially Bell) but she was remarkable.
The haters are scrambling RN for new talking points
I kept reading this thinking it would explain why he only managed to win 8 games the last two years, why he had to give up play calling, or why he never really had a good offense despite being an offensive guru. If anything the fact that he had such an extensive plan with so many quarterbacks and never managed to develop a single one of them is even more concerning.
My only issue was stefanski could have stopped the media circus in day one by telling his plans for the rookies but he kept being vague that was my issue. But like i said, hes a good professional coach. Not like Raheem trying to be buddy buddy
so a coach thats just doing his job
Gave him a wristband of plays against the Bears with the wrong plays.
I don’t know why Falcons stuffs keeps popping up in my reddit. Ever since Stefanski took over, I just keep seeing stuff. I’m a Browns fan who actually liked Stefanski.
But there are a few glaring points that even as a stefanski supporter I could never defend.
– He repeatedly had a top defense and a terrible offense, the years he won coach of the year were because of the defense and not his offense
– He mishandled Baker, 1st overall pick QB who Coen made look like an MVP candidate in their only year together in Tampa.
– Regardless of what you think about Watson as a human being (You wanted him too if I recall) he was an MVP candidate in Houston and Stefanski made him look like a joke.
– His teams have absolutely Zero discipline. Wait until you get your 3rd flag of the game for illegal formation
– If the team gets a lead he will try and run the ball to grind out the clock and inevitably lose the lead.
Hes always the same calm guy, will run his offense and with the right pieces to run the ball it will definitely work.
So he did his job?
I still cant believe Browns fired him just because his players sucked 😂 hyped to be a new falcons fan!
