I'm not coming in with a ton of prospect knowledge but Nats got a lot in return for Gore, so just curious how much more could be expected for Ryan or Lopez, if anyone has thoughts?

  1. I think Gore’s return would compare very closely to what the Twins could get for Ryan right now. Two years of team control on an elite front end starter should yield at least two top 100 prospects or one top 100 prospect and a mlb player with 5-6 years of team control and all-star upside.

Lopez would fetch less because his two years remaining of team control come at a higher price tag and he’s older so extending him is riskier. (Not to mention Ryan might just be a better pitcher right now overall.)
