The Falcons are without a first round pick after trading up in last year’s draft to get James Pearce Jr and sacrificing their 2026 1st round draft pick to the Los Angeles Rams. Falcons Today host Trace Moustakas explains that the dirty birds can target Eli Stowers, the tight end from Vanderbilt after Dane Brugler released his second mock draft. Moose claims that while he likes Stowers coming out of Vandy, the Falcons could also target Dontay Corleone, the defensive tackle from Cincinnati.

NFL Draft Buzz On Corleone
“When evaluating Corleone’s pro fit, his abilities paint the picture of a player whose impact will depend heavily on situational usage and developmental patience. His natural power and leverage create immediate disruption against interior running games, yet questions about his pass rush versatility suggest he may initially find himself relegated to early downs while more dynamic rushers handle third-down work.”

Dane Brugler On Eli Stowers
“Considering that he’s on an expiring contract, Kyle Pitts picked the right time to have an All-Pro season. If the Falcons don’t re-sign or franchise tag him, they can take solace in knowing this draft is rich with tight end talent. Stowers will turn heads with his testing.”

  1. I dont want a player that is only gonna do well on a contract year. Shit like that drives me crazy. So pitts can walk, the only reason people want him to stay is because hes gonna end up on the chiefs and have 1600 yards

  2. A guy I'd really like for the Falcons to take if he's available in the 2nd is Germie Bernard. Versatile Bama WR who can be plugged into the slot. Very quick, shifty type of guy who can stretch the field for us. With Ray Ray gone and Mooney probably on the way out, this pick makes sense to me.

  3. i usually agree with you here, but the DT is a huge miss IMO. you just dont take a DT in the second round with his medical issues, hes more of a 3rd round pick guy compared to a 2nd

  4. Sorry but I have to pass on using our 2nd round pick on a rotational player with injury issues. We don't have a first, so we need to get someone who can start in a critical role.

  5. Smh 😂 why would they take a Te 2nd round 😂 they gonna resign or franchise tag Pitts ! And they need a Wr !!!!!! 2nd round pick will be a Wr or Jacob Rodriguez if he falls ! If moose love the te from Vanderbilt he can go to Denver broncos !

  6. Im not going to lie Ponds, the corner from Indiana. Is the only 5'9 corner ill ever want on my team……. Except for Brent Grimes

  7. We've had super offenses before. I think we need to add to both sides of the line and get a consistent top 10 defense. Like how the Patriots won under Belichick. I don't want us building like Mannings Colts again.

  8. P, how about HN, for HELL NO!!?

Moose, I love ya man, but there is NO WAY IN HELL we are selecting a TE with our first pick. We need a WR, CB, NT and OL much more. It really depends on the depth of the draft at each position and you know the Falcons with Bill Callahan directing the OL will want to beef up the line depth, if not replace Neuzil at C (check Kevin Knight's mock draft on the Falcohollic, yes please to Slaughter!…bring your daughterrr! haha)

But it makes no sense to get a TE unless we franchise tag Pitts so we can trade him for a package of picks and likely sign Njoku to go along with a young TE through the draft. But Pitts is gone IF we draft a TE high. But we'll likely know ahead of the draft when/if we trade Pitts. If we keep Pitts, then we are not drafting one. FA will be the route we go. Too many other needs.
