Early passing in a playoff game from a guy who hasn't started in over 2 years is going to be a recipe for disaster. He's first going to need to get comfortable reading the defense and making the right decisions, and this Patriots defense excels in disguising coverage.
In my opinion, if you want to get Stidham into a rhythm against the Patriots defense, start safe and run the ball. You can afford to punt – your defense can wreck the Patriots O-line.
