    You might want to consider giving Nylander a pass. He’s still leading the team in scoring despite missing 13 games. Dude was always healthy until this year. As for Stolarz – I can’t believe Berube started him. That should be a fireable offence. The guy didn’t even get into a game with the Marlies after 2 months of inactivity.

  3. I expected this when they hired Treliving. I laughed when he went all in at the deadline. I laughed harder whwn no free agents who possibly could of slotted in the top went elsewhere. Nobody ever talks about Berube's analytics!! Why not?? Spent Marner money on bottom 6 and castaways. You need be medicated and committed to the looney bin if you think pr thought this roster is was it for the playoffs.

The best move Leafs made was getting rid of that albatross contract for a soft pussy guy, we suck right now due t bad management decisions but still better than having that contract.Hope they missed the playoffs but a few points just enough to not give Boston a high pick and re-toll next year. BTW, give a season or two and see Vegas trading Marner, no way they will want to keep paying 13mil for that guy.

  11. Laffs fans mad because they dont understand the TO Leafs are a BUSINESS and that because of the size of said fanbase and fan loyalty a very successful one. Leafs dont need to win a cup, or even make the playoffs to sell out an arena, they wont be sold, shipped off etc they will exist, good or bad because laffs fans keep paying, keep praying and actually think management gives a shit if they win or lose lol. They care about ticket sales and merch sales… all of which are fine. So until laffs fans actually stop buying tickets or merch just accept u are not a hockey team in a market that needs to win to turn a profit! You are a valuable asset to the NHL. Thats it. No one cares if u win or lose cause it doesnt change fiscal numbers! Leafs winning a cup wont create a larger fanbase like when Carolina or smaller hockey markets win…so just accept ur over valued medicority. Good grief.

Bravo for stepping back and seeing the bigger picture.This organisation has been reactionary, had short-term thinking and been overly optimistic since Ballad, save for Cliff and Lou (and Burke? he got us to the conference finals?) This organisation needs a good GM who is calm and makes decisions that BUILD the TEAM step by step, just like the Habs have done. I'm so sick of this 'trading firsts for quick fixes' nonsense. Laughton is a player, yes but he's not a team. The team is split between the skill guys who won't go in for the puck and semi-skilled guys who grind and we dont have enough guys like OEL who know what they are doing!

  21. Marner on Vegas = Kessel on Pittsburgh. Basically 4th-5th guy on a team of stars. Easy to win a cup when you're not asked to lead. Just be you, print assists, disappear at times, your team will win you the cup.
