I actually agree with Paul Pierce here. Being honest, I don't think Lacob or Dunleavy are going to make any significant, or any moves at all by the trade deadline. Lowk the two most meaningful players of this franchise gotta sit down with MDJ and see if they wanna ride it out into the sunset or get out. It's honestly sad how this whole thing is playing out, especially with the FO "reassured" Jimmy that he wouldn't be moved. What do you guys think, and do you think the Chef needs to actually start speaking up for some change to happen?
The Truth Weighs in on Dunleavy needing to sit down and have a serious convo with Dray and Curry about their future

I think they talk with Steph enough to know what he would prefer. Steph isnt the type to demand anything, but im sure they know his preference and have asked him about it.
Draymond has to fuckin go
The sooner Steph can let go of Draymond, the sooner he can get back to winning
I dare say the convo had started and is already escalated
What Is stopping Steph from requesting a trade?
Yes, Im sure mike and joe have never spoken with steph or dray about what they want their futures and the warriors’ future to look like.
Just wow dude
Y’all think this conversation hasn’t already happened? You nuts if you think it hasn’t
Just don’t know what they’re gonna realistically do to move the needle
Dray needs to stop acting like a child. He says he is going to change and next game back to the same shitty antics. He has great knowledge, but can’t control himself.
Dray is still good in spurts but imo, he does more harm than good at his age and the cost of his contract.
if Jimmy decides to retire right now is his salary off the books? Keep him on as a coaching assistant and then unretire for a farewell tour.
Wow, Paul Pierce really did make sense for once!
I’m fine with trading Draymond now. He’s no good to a rebuilding team.
Nobody should ever concern themselves with Paul Pierce’s opinion.
This the dude that shit his pants?
Why is Pierce always leaning into idiotic ideas?
I mean if we’re being honest , its more rare to finish your entire career for one team , not many have done that , and let’s be real the bar for championships in the LeBron and Steph era is 4 so they don’t need anymore rings , Paul is pushing a narrative that don’t need to be pushed especially from a guy who was with a organization pretty much his whole career and was ok with just winning 1 ring . He knows dray and Steph should stay in Golden state he’s being messy , putting that in dray ear .

Curry probably
That might be the most logical thing Paul Pierce has ever said. As a Warriors fan, 100% agree if they want to go, let them go, would be fun to watch them on another team in the playoffs. Cuz this team sucks.
That discussion will happen if it hasn’t already but there’s no real justification for making any sort of incremental changes this season. Not a big chance of landing a star at the deadline so it’s gonna be a lost season.
Are there any former players who podcast who don’t have stupid takes?
These people just say these things for clicks
Bingo..curry is an All Pro right now and deserves a chance to win and GS deserves a chance to rebuild
We cannot contend with JB’s salary devoted to a guy who can’t play. So, if we don’t trade him, this season is lost, and next season is iffy. That’s two seasons where Steph & Draymond aren’t realistically in the hunt for a championship, and two years where the sand grows ever closer to emptying from their hourglasses.
In theory, either one of them could move to a contender for two years, then resume their lives however they want to. They could come back to the Dubs on cheaper contracts for restricted, off-the-bench minutes, for example, and resume living in the Bay Area, or they could retire and do whatever they want.
But that should be their choices. Steph should be able to do whatever he wants, and I doubt any team would want to take Draymond via a trade he objected to
If we did decide that JB could be moved, then it would mean giving up a lot of draft assets and perhaps some of our better young players, and it’s still hard to see who would make that deal. And we’d still have issues with the Kuminga fit and with significant $$$ on Buddy’s contract that aren’t doing much for us on the court. Between Jimmy, JK, and Buddy, that’s $86M out of $205M of our payroll either unavailable or underperforming. Abd it still leaves us with 5 more guys at or above 33 years old (Curry Bros, AH, DG, and GPII), so we need a deep roster as well as more talent at the top.
