29. I’m sorry but, Sean Payton’s decision to go for it on 4th and 1 in the second quarter was one of the dumbest decisions I have ever seen in my 40 plus years of watching football. Strategically speaking, just absolutely asinine.

    1. Going up 10-0 with your QB2 starting the AFC Champ game woulda been a HUGE momentum and confidence builder for Stidham and your offense.

    2. Broncos run offense had done NOTHING so far. Pats are not going to bite as hard on a play action.
    Even if Stidham had time, the receivers were absolutely blanketed. The play was a disaster.

    3. Your defense has been playing AMAZING so far. It’s going to be a tight, low-scoring game. 3 points is going to MATTER.

    I predicted the annnouncers bringing up the 3 points that coulda, shoulda, woulda been in the 4th and sure as shit, they did. The “going for it on fourth” mindset has gotten completely out of hand. It needs to be situational. Teams are going on 4th and short regardless of the situation. It’s just stupid.
