The Commanders really wanted Mike Macdonald to be their next HC, but were outbid by the Seattle Seahawks in ‘24. Now he’s taking them to Super Bowl LX as the #1 seed

  1. And this magically leaks after he makes the SB. But after we hired DQ we said he was our #1 target. I’m tired of these rumors

  2. It is what it is… he was a highly-valued hc prospect and our situation looked horrendous at the time, especially compared to Seattle so Commanders had to settle for a less exciting, but experienced hc in Quinn.

  3. Okay? So what? We were one game away from going to the SB in DQs first year and our team wasn’t nearly as stacked as this Seahawks team is. This year we got trashed with injuries which sucks. With (hopefully) everyone back to 100% by the start of the 2026 season and us (hopefully) hitting on our draft picks and offseason FA acquisitions, I’m excited to see what JD and the boys cook up for us next year.

  4. That’s fine.. the seahawks have a better roster.

He obviously preferred going there anyways.

  5. Let’s not act like the Seahawks situation was comparable to our situation. The Seahawks issue wasn’t the team that was out there, it was Pete Carroll being past his prime as a head coach. Which is even more clear now, seeing how his one year with the Raiders went. As a franchise, the Seahawks been way more stable. Look at their front office with John Schneider.

  6. DQ going to the NFC Championship Game in his first year, based on where the team was is a far greater coaching accomplishment than Seattle with a stacked team and great GM going to the Superbowl
