3. Amazing. The wings have kept pace above the rest of the eastern conference through the bulk of the season. And we remain super wary of past final season stretches. No locks at all. Bring in another top 4 defenseman and a solid giant on the bottom pair…and we would feel over the decade of playoff absences. Logan Stanley? Justin Faulk? Both, please. Minus Simon, the defense played great for a couple games….but they are thin if he stays out.

5. John Leonard is earning another call up with his ahl play and decent performance with the Wings. The griffins have a few forwards that can fill in for the redwings should injuries occur. That means the trade market should be solely focused on adding a second pair and a third pair defenseman. The defensive defensemen that emphasize physical play ( that are available in trades reasonably) seem to be the major need for the third pairing. A second pair defenseman like Faulk would address the largest need there. A large, physical, playoff ready third pair defenseman would also be a major, needed addition for the future. The team has earned these two trade considerations on defense by their play up to this point. As the episode plays, the panel here named all of these specific guys as trade targets…so i am in total agreement if the price is right. If the Devils drop out, they have a $9 million dollar defenseman who could be had on the cheap.

6. I watched Dangles latest LFR and he said the Leafs should be sellers and OEL should be available. I think that would be a perfect get for the wings, a puck moving defenseman who can play top 4 minutes on the left or right side.

7. Toronto and edmonton would both have a cup.the last 6 years had they had a normal nhl starter. Edmonton had two horrible goalies in cup finals. Put bobroavky on edmonton they sweep florida. Toronto hasnt had a goalie since the curtis Joseph years. now Toronto finally has two good goalies. Woll has good stats and hildeby is very atletic. The red wings also had hlrrinle goalies last ten years. Edmonton now has Tristan friggen jarry…jarry is not an nhl quality starter for s team going for a cup. Their gm dont have a clue. Edmonton should trade us Issac Howard for one of our goalies. mcDavid cant handle high school level goalies on his team anymore. Mcdavid had best playoffs of all time last year he beat Gretzkys record and it dint matter. He had swiss cheese in his net. You think yzerman could swoop in and offer 4 prosepcts 2 firsts and cossa and get mcdavid in offseason lol?

   Chariot, seider, edvinson pellika is a stud top 4. Our third pair is butt. Andrew copp did suck the first 19 games this year. And first 20 games compher had 1 goal 4 points. Dallas is gona lose robertson if they aint careful. But to me nygard and bear and augustine should not be traded. I would trade max plante tho. Use his best career season at college as a way to pump him.up for a trade. Next subject.last 28 games copp and compher finally played nhl quality hockey. We been waiting 3 years!!We are not trading augustine. Id rather give cossa and im not trading carter bear. St louis has nobody worth it. Snuggerud has that potential. Id go after bertuzzi, or panarin they are playoff players. But thomas aint worth our top prospects. Come on guys. Robert thomas? I would rather go after kyle connor. Connor is hometown guy and scores 40 goals a year. Hes fast, very consistent stud every year. Id give up cossa, kasper danielson, rasmussen and 2nd round pick for kyle connor. Connor isnt a rental. Thomas is a duplicate of what we got. Crosby is a stud to thejr point.isnt a punk anymore. But honestly nobody plays defense in this league anymore. Forwards are always wide open in all games you watch lets call a spade a spade. Its a scoring speed auper skill league. Not many tough players anymore. But the wings have seider who sacrifices offense and actually plays amazing d. Seider hits eveeything in anoter jersey, he blocks a ton of shots, same with edvinson. Cale makar doesnt touch anyone, hes a hall of fame forward that is playing defense. I want to know whats crazy. It took compher and copp 2.5 seasons to finally earn their salaries… they both sucked until 22 games ago. Its like the space jam movie talent got back in thejr systems. But anyways, either trade for a goal scoring d man or call up wallinder or bium. johansen and docker have been bad this year. Not sure how u said pelikka has struggled? Hes been great. He even takes hits well stays calm. Has 6 goals on pace for 10. Why cant pelikka handle 15 minutes if we nake playoffs? The reason the wings are limitiing his minutes is the shl season barely plays games . Hes now played 20 more games this year then he has ever played in a career season. So its health but management. Its not his talent. I cant believe we got pellika at pick 15. And the expert red wings fans swore pelikka wasnt nhl ready. Thats the point ,play them and then youl know. We let young guys rot too much Danielson wasnt ready hes bashful. Rasmuseen still plays like a rookie and isnt nhl ready. I have no clue how rasmuseen made the roster every year. If i was coaching everyone would have to have broken legs before id call him up. Another holland screw up. He was the 9th pick in the draft … hes NEVER IMPROVED AT ALL. Finnie does rasmussens role with skill. But anyways only way i trade kaspar is in a zack werenski deal. We have the assests. But i would trade danielson , lombardi and rasmuseen and a first or second round pick for panarin or stamkos or tyler bertuzzi.then we can call up leonard or nygard in rasmuseens spot. To me john leonard should be here. Hes an impact player. Hes way to good for ahl. Leonard scored 40 goals in ahl laar year and hes gona score 40 again.also Nygard has been excellent for gr. He didnt sulk. Getting sent down he worked on his game and his stats show that.Hes nhl ready, hits hard, wins puck battles, hes big, shoots 100 mph , skating looks good and works his tail off and super good passer. Id put nygard down low on powerplay umxuz hes a shooter. put pelikka nygard finnie edvinson jvr on pp unit 2.off wing d side for one timer fkr pelikka. Pp1 Put seider on his one timer side , debrincat down low on his one timer side [off wing] raymond on the other point as he likes to pass rarher then shoot on pp. It sucks but raymond over passes. But hes an amazing passer so thats okay. And then larkin at center. Kane other wing.

   Gibson had a .913 last year in 30 starts. and go look.at gibsons year by year stats, hes always been a top 5 goalie. Hes very calm, reads the play so.well and goes side to side so well on one timers. And he knocks rebounds far out and hes GREAT ON HIGH SHOTS UNLIKE THAT SWISS CHEESE PARTNER OF HIS TALBOT. I love max but…. it has nothing to do with being rusty for talbot. When was playing every other game 2 months ago he sucked then too. HE SUCKED LAST YEAR TOO. He lost 6 in a row at that time. He got beat on a flip shot for first goal vs Minnesota, then he.doesmt freeze the puck. Then overtime no screen talbot gets beat from 37 feet on a wrist shot because talbot has the WORST GLOVE HAND IN THE LEAGUE. And watch talbots footwork. He cant skate. Horrinle rebound control too. You got two stud goalies at GR. I have no clue why yzerman wont call one of them up. Postava is technically sound , athletic and wom yhe mvp of czech league championship laat year. Yzerman stole postava. So get him.here. it makes us better. He could have the dodeball patches ohollihan blindfold on and still stop more pucks then talbot could.

8. OMFG Brad: You are not getting rid of the depth on the goalie side here.
   You do not trade Augustine, Cossa or Postava under any circumstances, as they have not shown what they are capable of yet at the NHL level. Gibby as a 1A way to play today is why you never get rid of two talents in our pipe, before you know what you have. Remove Gibby and what does RW really have left to use and how many points has Gibby alone stolen forvRW during this season. The importance of knowing that you can trust a goalie like Gibby is today, is easily 30-40% of the team even before the puck has been dropped.

   RW will make the Play off if they do not completely collapse in March and the rest of what is a more comfortable schedule of the season. However, it is not all about RW, but how long our division can maintain a sick balance with so many teams involved. Fun for many different fans to look forward to the Play off.

10. Its all 4 lines that im comfortable with. Appelton and soderbloms development have made that the perfect 4th line, rag the puck around in the ozone, play a hard physical forecheck, and even if you dont get a goal, you're wearing the other team down. I hope theres no injuries to their forwards for a stretch because i think this may be the perfect line combos.
