[Krawczynski] Julius Randle: “Nobody deserves to lose their life, and especially for it to happen in our community is tough. So my prayers for that situation and everybody involved, and everybody in Minneapolis, obviously, it’s tough times right now.”

  1. The NBA clearly has a gag order on any political statements right now.

Literally not one person has mentioned ICE. Very disappointing.

  2. Y’all can be mad at my comment but I know a cornball brother when I hear one. This is the kind of answer a young RG3 or Daniel Ceaser would give when asked clear questions about important events impacting their community.

Vague non answers with no takeaway.  It isn’t until later we actually find out what their real positions were.

  3. Deserve to lose for completely abandoning the city that had to watch Alexei Shved and still stuck by them. Bullshit millionaire cowardice.

  4. Hilarious . When it’s George Floyd we’re doing everything possible . But let it be anyone that’s not black and it’s “ no one deserves to lose their life” . White privilege tho right?

  5. I’m sorry, but imagine saying prayers for everybody involved during George Floyd…

  6. Despite all his flaws and proverbial blemishes, I’m reminded of the social climate back in 2013/2014/2015 — the Eric Garners and Trayvon Martins — and LeBron’s ability to speaking eloquently about the issue of continued police brutality in black and brown communities. Leading the team in making a political statement wearing the hoodies, directly acknowledging his and their stance.

  7. This right here. It’s the baseline – he didn’t deserve to be killed. It’s what MAGA can’t bring themselves to say.

Even IF Pretti was impeding or obstructing those ICE agents, even if he brought a loaded gun to the scene, even if he physically struggled with the ICE agents, he did not deserve to be killed. He was not posing a threat of serious harm to the agents – especially after he was disarmed. No person is allowed to be an instant judge, jury and executioner.

  8. Yeah, your “prayers” are gonna go a long way. Thanks for acknowledging times are tough.

What do you expect your prayers are gonna do when the government is shooting citizens on the street in broad daylight

  9. MN loves you Julius…. And some of the fans in the comments are most certainly deranged. Keep in mind this is a basketball page where fans support their team and talk about basketball

  10. we got room in lynx fandom btw – our coaches have been on the streets, showing up to marches, players speaking from the heart. the co-chaplain had a fantastic statement though
