DETROIT — Right-hander reliever Ryan Miller, who spent much of last season in the Detroit Tigers organization, has signed a minor-league contract with the Colorado Rockies.

Miller, who turns 30 in March, was a non-roster invitee in Lakeland last spring and posted a 4.32 ERA in 50 innings with Triple-A Toledo. He was released in August.

The Florida native played college ball at Clemson and was selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the sixth round in 2018. Released in 2020, Miller spent two seasons in independent baseball before getting opportunities with the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox and finally Los Angeles Angels in 2024.

Miller made his big-league debut for the Angels on Aug. 27, 2024, pitching a scoreless inning against the Tigers at Comerica Park and getting back-to-back strikeouts of Jake Rogers and Parker Meadows.

That 13-game stint with the Angels remains Miller’s only big-league experience. He did not pitch in the big leagues for the Tigers in 2025.
