Daronte Jones (Vikings Defensive PGC): Interview completed Sunday. Worked with Brian Flores since 2023, also worked with Vance Joseph in Miami (2016). DC at LSU (2021), Bowie State (2005-09). Always worked with DBs. From Maryland (Bishop McNamara, Morgan State).
This is now NINE candidates interviewed: Teryl Austin, Dennard Wilson, Karl Scott, Al Harris, Jonathan Gannon, Brian Flores, Joe Cullen, Patrick Graham, Daronte Jones. Plus Morris/Ulbrich interest.
⏰KARL SCOTT TIMELINE
Seahawks won, so Scott available for in-person interview BUT can’t be hired until Feb 9 (day after Super Bowl).
Raheem Morris Update: Rams lost, so Cardinals could hire Mike LaFleur as HC (55% favorite at Kalshi), which would take Morris out of running. Long been person of interest.
📊 SCOUTING DEPARTMENT EXODUS
Tim Gribble leaving for Steelers: Director of college scouting since 2002, from Pittsburgh (played/coached at Duquesne, worked for Steelers previously).
Timing Issue: Draft is 3 months away, Shrine/Senior Bowls happening now. Still time to pivot but undesirable timing.

Rejected by EVERYONE: Mike McDaniel (chose Chargers), Klayton Adams (Cowboys OC), Arthur Smith, Charlie Weis Jr. (staying with Lane Kiffin at LSU).

How many videos are you going to do about the same subject? Boring and by the way, Scott and the commanders can agree to sign now. They don't have to wait. They just can't sign the contract until after the super bowl and it's for Gibble or whatever the hell the guy's name is. He's only been the director of scouting since 2020. Not a big loss but you make it sound like it's huge.
