Tommy Rees named offensive playcaller

  1. Rees is Stefanski Jr. so if you like Stefanski this shouldn’t really upset you

  2. Glass half full Tommy more than likely learned most of his playcalling from Stefanski, and it lets Stefanski focus solely on managing the game as a whole. Plus if Tommy is ass then nothing is stopping him from taking over play calling like we saw with Dan Cambell and the Lions this previous season

  3. If I’m not judging Stefanski off his time with the Browns (bad stuff anyways) then I guess I won’t judge Rees either but I’m not too excited

  4. Guys if Rees sucks yall know nothing is stopping the HC from taking over the playcalling right?

  5. 1. It allows KS to focus on big picture head coach stuff. I am sure he’ll have a big role on offensive game plan week to week.

    2. It gives him a scapegoat when things go poorly.

  6. Two years ago, I thought Zac Robinson would be the next great offensive mind in the league, so I’ll reserve judgment until I see it for myself.

  7. I knew it. So we’re really banking on it was Cleveland…. Welp only time will tell but this fan base is already at the point of exploding. 😅🤣. We’ve been patient enough after that Super Bowl loss. Franchise has given us nothing but pain…

  8. Where are all the weirdos that told me Rees was just OC in name, Kevin will be calling plays even though I told them the Stefanski had given up his play calling duties multiple times in Cleveland including to this guy?

  9. I’m not coming here to brigade.

But I’ve watched every snap of this guys time in Cleveland. Statistically, DVOA based, The 2024 Browns were the 2nd worst offense in NFL history. We followed that up with the 2025 offense being the 9th worst in NFL history.

I’m not saying our offense was stacked personnel wise, but the statistics show we were 40% worse than the average team in the league, which is historic.

My biggest issue with Stefanski is his inability to move off of coaching hires. We went from a league worst defense to a league best purely by switching coordinators in 2023, something everyone could see we should have done a year earlier except for Stefanski, apparently.

Not a great sign he’s bringing along a system/OC with a proven historic failure rate.
Sorry to be a bearer of bad news.
Couldn’t believe this news when I saw it. Hopefully it really is our team that’s the issue, but we’ll see….
