Are the Texans going to run it back with the same QB Coach, OC and QB? No adjustments at all, just free agency and draft. .

  1. OC did fine, Stroud is still under a rookie deal. Bringing them back and hoping for better chemistry in year 2 together is a no brainer.

But the QB coach needs to change IMO

  2. Demeco always takes time to evaluate all coaches. Not saying it’s going to happen but that it hasn’t is not proof that it won’t. Yet.

  3. Demeco said he would evaluate all last week. If there was something happening I would imagine it would come in the next week or two. That said, they made verbal commitments to pretty much everyone except Jerrod Johnson. I don’t see a world where the move on from CJ, unless it’s an absolutely insane trade they can’t pass up like Burrow. I highly doubt a trade like that becomes available. So we will see.

  4. OC & QB yes, QB Coach is up in the air. DeMeco (one week ago tomorrow) said that he’d take the week to evaluate his staff.

Also QB Coach is going to interview for a job with the Dolphins so even if he doesn’t get fired, there’s a chance he could leave.

Edit: He interviewed for the OC position, Slowik is now Miami’s OC.

  5. We won 12 games bud with a first year OC who clearly improved as the year went on. Ofc we’re running it back.

  6. I think Jerrod is gone. Need a run game guy and qb coach. Houston needs to invest into a head doctor

  7. Oh how I wish we’d bring in a former HC with OC experience to be an Assistant Head Coach to help guide the offense and be an extra set of eyes for Caley and DeMeco.

Like a Frank Reich type that’s not a threat to Caley per se but with enough experience to lend credibility to the operation.

  8. If they’re serious about CJ they’ll get rid of Jerrod. If he stays then I feel the front office is expecting there’ll be a change at QB after next season.

  9. Theyve have had less than a week to do anything, and a number of coaches they’d want to talk to havent been available for in-person interviews, which the front office prefers over video.

  10. The texans most of the season. Oh damn this isn’t working the first half. Fans:can they see it’s not working why not make some adjustments for the second half. Texans:ok, we gonna run with the original game plan in the second half, see if it works this half. Fans: 🤦

  11. I think this was fairly obvious after Casarios presser. Seems internally they view everything as fine and only lost because of the interceptions. This was my worst fear
