  1. I mean when neither side can catch and defense can’t tackle we might have an issue

  2. CBs were one of the worst groups as far as getting takeaways in the NFL this season. I think SP really saw that as a major issue this season. Not generating takeaways while having a defense that pressured quarterbacks at literally an all-time great rate makes no sense.

  3. It would be cool if they could get Frisman Jackson as the WR coach. JSN was amazing last year. Not sure how often a coach makes a lateral move? Drew Lascari could be a interesting choice as a DB coach. He did great at Rutgers, and it would be a promotion for him over being a DB assistant coach.

  4. All the coaching moves make sense so far. Try and keep Davis Webb at OC (Payton calls plays anyway so pretty low risk), WR’s didn’t take the step forward we needed to see, and we couldn’t get picks turnovers to save our lives from the CB’s

  5. Good position coaches develop players. The casual fan praises the GMs and Head Coaches, but you don’t have to look farther that Garett Bolles and what Munchak did for him, for the impact position coaches have in development. Our WR room stagnated this season. Too many drops, not enough YAC.

  6. We finished 14-3, but VERY easily could have been 6-11 or worse. We won a lot of games despite some serious penalty issues, major underperformances from our receivers, and a lackluster offense. The firings are smart if they think they can improve with someone else

  7. 100% on board with letting go of Colbert. Not sure how long he’s been with Denver, but our WR group have been the poorest group behind the RB group on the offense.

  8. That’s a lot of firings for a team with the best record in the NFL. I’m glad that this team finally got its high standards back.

  9. I’m glad to see changes being made. I’m not surprised with the OC move to give Webb the job. I think what hurt the broncos this year was not creating a lot of turnovers and creating a short field for the offense. They did great getting to the QB but I would’ve thought with how much pressure they cause that more INTs would’ve been created.

  10. Potentially running back coach also? Should be no reason we have a good offensive line and literally can’t generate anything without dobbins

  11. This is kinda wild after such a successful season but I trust Sean and I’m sure VJ had a say in the CB dept. Bout time we got a new WR coach though. The drops, miscommunication and poor development of Mims in particular was too many red flags.

  12. Not shocked by the WR coach. He said in the presser the recievers need to catch with their thumbs together and emphasized it.

  13. All of the moves show that Payton wasn’t satisfied that they were getting all they could get out of players associated with these firings. Lombardi never excited me as a hire. Our WRs weren’t growing under Colbert, and our CBs could stand to be better.

  14. Not surprising

    WRs underperformed

CBs underperformed in terms of tackling, PIs, INTs, coverage, preparation

  15. Totally fine with it. Would rather go this route if Payton thought the coaching was lacking. Would much rather be aggressive if that is the case then rest on laurels and remain status quo.
