  2. Getz made a rookie mistake after ‘23. Luis Robert, cheap for 3 more years and coming off a remarkable season, was at his peak value. The team was in shambles both in their big league club and minor leagues. Everyone knew they were in for a few disastrous seasons. Why they didn’t trade Robert then made no sense. Bad management. Like I said, maybe it was a rookie GM mistake.

  3. Like many Sox fans, I was disappointed when we hired Getz. I was hoping for a detailed process with candidates from the myriad winning organizations. However, and I know a true grade is far from being earned, I’m pleasantly surprised with how well Getz has performed thus far. I love hiring people from other organizations and surrounding yourself with smart men from around MLB. Hopefully they nail number 1 overall, and we really start seeing an increasing in victories in the next year or two

  5. Good to see, and hear Chris Getz! All you podcasters are great, but it’s nice to hear from the man himself. He did great with what he had to work with and you know that! A couple of moves were more like he just wanted to move on with-like we all did. So glad now with a clean slate…basically. Go Sox!
