Holy Crap… The Denver Broncos Coaching Situation Is Taking A WILD TURN!

The Denver Broncos have fired multiple coaches on the heels of their loss in the AFC Championship game to the New England Patriots 10-7. The Broncos fired offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi, wide receiver’s coach Keary Colbert notably. Broncos Breakdown host Trace Moustakas explains his thoughts and feelings around the Broncos decisions and claims that if the team is going to get aggressive in their quest for a Super Bowl, they must get aggressive and hire Davis Webb as their play calling offensive coordinator. Moose gives evidence to support why Webb staying with the Broncos makes sense in the long hall, taking away play calling duties for head coach Sean Payton.

Sean Payton On Webb’s Play Calling
“We’re talking. We’re all on the same line, but he called it and did a really good job. That experience is invaluable. Until you do it, it’s much faster than you think compared to the college game… You want to make a good impression, but he did a good job. He did a really good job.”

  1. Lombardi was a coach in name only. He didn’t do much of anything at all. If DW takes the OC job he will be handed much more responsibility including play calling. At least I hope so.

  2. If Payton does give up play calling and he does promote Webb to be our legit OC he has to let him do his job and hopefully we get more updated offensive power let’s see what happens with our team because that 1st place schedule looks brutal👍🏼GO BRONCOS!!

  3. Payton calls some dang good plays, but every now and then he throws in a bad one. Don't know if Webb would be better or not. But I do know that we have to increase tight end production. Trautman is the worst blocking tight end in the league. Inghram wasn't the answer, he had a couple of big plays but other than that he wasn't a factor. Sutton got a case of the drops in the second half of the season, something I have never seen him do until now. We need a slobber knocking running back too. Quick little fast guys have a place, but once in a while you need a big bruising running back.
