Score: 8 – last week was solid and things started becoming better, and this week things started slumping again. Getting rid of Palat is actually a step in the right direction. Let’s see how things keep going I guess.

  1. I remember at the beginning of the year, being on an 8 game win streak and the pain meter was at 0. I was thinking, there’s no way we get past a 4 or a 5 this year, but here we are.

  2. Yea, valid. I’m numb to it by now. Still tracking their progress on my spreadsheet regardless. Unloading Palat with no retention was a masterclass and that gives us some room to work with but I don’t think they should sell for futures or should be big buyers. We’re really not out of it mathematically being only 5 points back from the Isles for M3, but wildcard contention is out the window. But I won’t believe it’s over until it’s over

  3. Years of sucking, years of rebuilding, and years of future is bright — my expectation was ECF or bust this season. This is firmly a 10. Not sure where they go from here.

  4. At this point, the year is pretty much a bust. Even if by some miracle we made the wild card, we’d be a quick first round exit.
Now I’m just waiting to see who gets injured at the Winter Olympics.

  5. We need a separate Disappointment Meter – currently at a 10. Pain Meter is on point. It hurts.
