[Windhorst] Other teams interested in Giannis Antetokounmpo will “have to try to beat” a strong offer from the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors have the most “straightforward” trade package for Giannis Antetokounmpo.

  1. They are willing to go all in

Other teams are scared to give up top pick ( hawks) or top young players ( castle, harper, Thompson twins etc)

  2. It’s too good to be true right… Im trying my best to not get my hopes up because I do not trust our front office and or Joe Lacob

  3. Warriors should be absolutely favorites to land Giannis lmao.

If they don’t GMs failed Curry honestly.

Just trade Giannis back for picks when Steph retires

  4. omg it’s happening, nobody can beat our post curry unprotected picks!

i wonder how many tho, but who fucking cares. we can suck for another few more years after steph.

  5. This is a bright point, but realistically teams are used to making multi-team trades at this point, and we will need to be be very dynamic and generous to land him.

  6. Most “straightforward” doesn’t necessarily mean “best”. We have the most pressure to push NOW. Knicks, Miami, Raptors cores are all younger and could theoretically wait for the offseason (and pretty much everyone else).

  7. Why is everyone so surprised? Golden state is the only team which can offer upwards of 80m in expiring contracts over the next year and a half and can offer picks with value over their rebuild window? Absorbing the salaries allows them to fully embrace tank mode over the current and next season and have potentially four or five years of quality draft capital in successive years.

  8. If the dubs were able to sign KD at the time why can’t they trade for Giannis now? After the luka trade anything is possible nowadays

  9. To everyone who wanted to trade the picks this why you don’t. Even if we don’t land him we woulda been kicking ourselves forever if we couldn’t even get the convo going because we traded for MPJ or Lauri

  10. The straightforward package: all of our future picks and any player that’s not named Steph curry

  11. Y’all we go through this with every trade target

I’m still delulu tho. We getting Giannis!

  12. I wouldn’t do this if I were Giannis. No future picks (trading opportunities), an older Steph, and nothing else!

  13. Look I hate the warriors (laker fan here) and I need this to happen. Curry does not deserve to go out with anything less.

    AND TRADE DRAYMOND!

  14. GET HIMMMMMM WE’RE  GONNA FALL OFF HARD AS SOON AS STEPH RETIRES ANYWAYS WHY WASTE THE NOW

  15. Lacob and co can redeem themselves by offering the kings ransom for Giannis and giving Steph what he deserves.

  16. Make this trade! Or just give up and trade Steph to a contender. He deserves the chance to play for more titles. Would be nice if it’s here.

  17. God, I know I’ve been an atheist since high-school. But I would really appreciate it if you could get this one done for me. Amen.

  18. Seriously though, Warriors should bet EVERYTHING on STEPH. Those future picks won’t be as generational as Steph so might as well trade them away before they turn into another James Wiseman. Just imagine Steph’s gravity freeing up Giannis at the rim.

  19. My god I can’t wait for this to be over.

Warriors are just being ragebaited and they don’t even know it yet.

FO have been waiting forever to a chance at Giannis but realistically they have no shot. It’ll just encourage Lacob to wait until the summer to think about dealing Kuminga..

  20. It’s obviously good to be the reported front runner, but the way it’s reported, especially with it directly saying “others will have to try to beat this” sounds a bit too much like the Bucks are using this report as leverage to get other teams to give up more. Hopefully that’s not the case though, getting Giannis would give us a fighter’s chance again

  21. I don’t know if getting Giannis is Lacob and Dunleavy or the front office’s ultimate goal, it can only be implied by the various beat writers and insiders and such, but if this is the case, this is the one and only window for them to do it. They have to make a deal so good that Milwaukee cannot pass it up. They cannot wait until the offseason, by then other teams will have thought up of much better deals. If they don’t get him now they will never get him.

  22. Any warriors fan against trading everything for Giannis is a recent addition to this fanbase. Welcome. But let me tell you the Cohan years were DARK. It’s going to happen again, but Steph is too good to not take the risk while we have him.
